Surfer's Beach is another great break and is less than 15 minutes from the house.  Surfer’s works best with swell directions from the northwest (more lefts) to the northeast (more rights).  It can handle a large swell but has a tendency to close out if it gets bigger than double overhead.  South or southeast wind is preferred here.  Surfer’s has a tendency to get blown out pretty easily if the wind is strong out of the north or northeast.  Surfer’s boasts a much more technical wave that can be pretty heavy and hollow even when it is just head high.
